Test Drives

So you’ve had your car a while now and are thinking of a new car. You might be a little unsure of what your after and understandably so as there is so much choice on the market. With so much choice then how do you decide and make an informed decision…taking many test drives of course. So here’s our top tips for taking test drives;

  • Book Appointments – this will not only save you time but should ensure you get to test drive the exact vehicle your looking at purchasing
  • Research specs and engines in advance – by doing this you will have a realistic idea of what your looking for and can whittle your choices down more easily, after all there is a lot of choice
  • Price up online – by knowing your prices you’ll already be clued up when the dealer starts the sell, ensure you take note of business and personal prices
  • Try to get an extended or unaccompanied test drive – this will give you the time needed for a more informed drive, making a car purchase is a big decision and shouldn’t be rushed. Most big dealers will offer something like this
  • Don’t be persuaded into buying there and then, there will always be a better offer elsewhere
  • Take pictures – when you get the keys to the vehicle don’t just start it up as tempting as it may be, take pictures of the car especially any damage so your not caught out upon return
  • Remember to have fun, after all, it’s what driving is all about

Hopefully these pointers will keep you in the right direction but if you want any more advice just ask.
